‘Out of Nowhere’ author to visit

AUBURN — On Wednesday, Oct. 9, the Auburn Public Library will welcome Brunswick author Maria Padian, who will be discussing her book, “Out of Nowhere.”

With a generous donation from an Auburn Public Library donor, the library was able to purchase 30 copies of this book. Teens interested in getting a free copy before Oct. 9 should stop by the Reference Desk on the second floor.

Pine Cone OES to meet Oct. 10

AUBURN — Pine Cone Chapter No. 26, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St.

Members will be honoring past and present grand officers. There will be no potluck supper.
