Commercial Travelers meet

MECHANIC FALLS — Twin City Council 160 of the United Commercial Travelers of America will meet at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Bucknam Oaks.

A potluck supper will be served at the close of the meeting. All members and guests are welcome.

World’s Fair meeting, workday

WATERFORD — The October meeting and workday for the Waterford World’s Fair will be held on Sunday, Oct. 13. The workday will start at 10 a.m. and the ladies of the fair will provide lunch for everyone who worked.

At 2 p.m. the membership meeting will be held in the dance hall. All members who can give a hand in closing the fairgrounds for the winter would be greatly appreciated.

The fairgrounds still has several spaces available for winter storage for boats, ATVs or campers, etc. For more information on storage call Ray Fox at 890-1729.

Free supper at Second Congre.

NORWAY — There will be a free supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main St.

All are invited. Deb, Pam and Bruce say that the menu is a surprise, but will include many favorites.

The Second Congregational Church, U.C.C. is an open and affirming congregation which welcomes all to worship, study and join in fellowship. Worship is every Sunday at 10 a.m. Sunday school also starts at 10 a.m. Child care is available. For more information call the church office at 207-743-2290.
