White elephant, rummage sale

DIXFIELD — Mystic Valley Grange No. 313 will have its last Rummage and White Elephant sale of the year from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at 932 U.S. Route 2 West.

RUMFORD — A Fall Dance featuring Joe “The Music Man” Sirois will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at Hope Association, 85 Lincoln Ave.

The event is open to the public and refreshments will be available. Donations welcome and will benefit Hope Association.

5K to benefit Denise Garcia

RUMFORD — There will be a Benefit 5K run/walk for Denise Garcia on Saturday, Oct. 26, at Hosmer Field. Registration will start at 8 a.m.

Denise has recently been diagnosed with cancer and money from the 5K will help out with expenses. The cost will be $20 and will include a T-shirt for those who register before Oct. 20. After that the cost will be $25 with no T-shirt.

Scrapbooking/ Crafting Day

RUMFORD — Hope Association Scrapbooking/Crafting Day will be held from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9.

There will be door prizes, silent auctions, swap table and 50/50.
