FARMINGTON — A Franklin County grand jury indicted a Chesterville man on sex charges involving a child under the age of 18.
Jeffrey Mitchell, 40, was indicted on one felony count of unlawful sexual contact and one misdemeanor count of unlawful sexual touching.
Franklin County Sheriff’s Detective Ken Charles arrested Mitchell, 39, in July. He had received information from the Maine Department Health and Human Services and launched an investigation.
The incidents occurred between Jan. 1, 2005, and Dec. 31, 2006, according to the grand jury report.
