FALMOUTH — Learn to preserve an apple harvest with Kate McCarty, community education assistant from the University of Maine Cooperative Extension, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at UMaine Extension Office, 75 Clearwater Drive.

The topic will be, “Preserving Apples: Canning and Freezing.” Cost is $15. Scholarships are available.
