AUBURN — The Auburn Fire Department will hold a free open house from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Central Station, 550 Minot Ave.
The open house is aimed at teaching families fire safety and prevention practices. It commemorates October’s National Fire Safety Month. Participants will receive safety tips such as “stop, drop and roll,” learn how to plan escape routes, and have the opportunity to try on firefighter gear.
Papa Gino’s will provide free pizza and children’s fire safety coloring sheets. There will also be fire safety information and goodies available for children, along with a bounce house and a free raffle for door prizes. Sparky, the fire-safety mascot, will be visiting throughout the day.
