1949 – 2013

AUBURN – Bradford E. Brackenbury, 64, of Auburn, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, Oct. 14.

Born in Lewiston on Jan. 1, 1949, he was the son of J. Earl Brackenbury and Theresa (Maheux) Stasick of Auburn. After graduation from E.L.H.S. in 1967, he joined the armed forces and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was an avid walker who loved the ocean and could talk to you for hours about science and astronomy. Bradford was a kind and gentle soul who was loved by many.

Bradford is survived by his wife of 26 years, the former Janis Boston, of Auburn; his stepson, Eddie Gagne and companion, Sean, of Kennebunk; his sister, Brenda Bisson and husband, Paul, of Auburn, their sons, Michael Bisson, his wife, Kimberly, and their daughter, Camille, of Pleasanton, Calif., and Timothy Bisson, his wife, Jennifer, and their sons, Jack and Aiden, of Long Island, N.Y.; two special aunts, who were like mothers to Bradford, Dorothy Weeks and Eleanor Helwig, of Auburn; and many cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents; and his grandmother, Esther Brackenbury.

Special thanks to his V.A. nurses, Barbara and Marcia, Lisa Brooks C.N.A., and John Files from Helping Hands who made it possible for Bradford to live independently.
