Students invited to join Interact

RUMFORD — The River Valley Rotary Club is looking for local high school students to join Interact. Crystal L. McAtee will be at Dirigo High School at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22.

Pizza will be served to all student who stop by and may be interested in joining River Valley Interact Club, which is for young people ages 12-18 who want to join together to tackle the issues in their community that they care most about.

Through Interact, students can carry out hands-on service projects, make international connections, develop leadership skills and have fun.

Halloween dance to benefit firefighters

MEXICO — A Halloween Dance to benefit the Mexico Firefighters Relief Association will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Oct. 26, at the American Legion Post, Rumford. Cost is $8 each or $15 a couple. Music will be by Stereotype.
