RUMFORD — Paper Moon Players will hold auditions for “Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown!” at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28.

Charlie Brown accepts but it proves to be a frustrating struggle. Through friendship and a much needed reminder, Charlie Brown and the gang truly learn the real meaning of Christmas.
Auditions, rehearsals and performances will take place in the Mystic Theater, 49 Franklin.
Parts are open for children for the following roles: Charlie Brown, Lucy Van Pelt, Linus Van Pelt, Sally Brown, Snoopy, Woodstock, Peppermint Patty, Marcie, Schroeder, Violet, Pig-Pen, Frieda, Shermy, a spiky haired kid known as 5, The Twins (his sisters, known as 3 and 4).
Rehearsals will be held from 6-8 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays. Extra rehearsals may be added, scheduling permitted, including a full week of rehearsals the week before opening.
Performance dates are set for December 13, 14 and 15. This play with its gentle humor, combines the classic Christmas special with many other Peanuts vignettes along with the jazz music of Vince Guaraldi.
