As I walked along a downtown Lewiston street recently, I witnessed a young woman getting bullied by a couple boys.

I watched a young man step out of the group of boys and stand in front of the young woman in an attempt to shield her from the bullying from his friends.

As I got closer to the group I heard the other boys giving the young man a hard time for defending the girl, but he stayed there until the others left to ensure she stayed safe.

I wish that young man wouldn’t have left in such a hurry. I wanted to personally thank him for helping the young woman. He scurried off after she was safe and she had made it to her vehicle.
