JAY — The Tri-Town Seniors met on Oct. 14 at St. Rose Parish Hall with Fern Doiron, President, presiding and 26 members attending. Following the opening ceremonies, three new members and two guests were welcomed.

Doiron reminded the members to sign up for the meal on Monday, Oct. 28. She said everyone is welcome to go dress for the occasion. On Monday, Nov. 11, Veterans Day, the group will honor members who served the country.

There will be only four meeting during November. There will be no meeting the Monday of Thanksgiving week. Doiron will go to LaFleur’s Restaurant to check on a date and a menu for the Christmas party.

A Chinese auction was held following the meeting and refreshments were served by Carmen Moreau and Jacquie Mercier. Next week refreshments will be served by Doris Tripp and Georgia Hersey.

The 50/50 was won by Carmen Moreau. Following the refreshments those present played cards and games.
