FARMINGTON — The Healthy Community Coalition of Greater Franklin County is offering a Responsible Beverage Server training course for staff of area convenience stores.

Training includes how to identify fake identifications, how to identify minors and intoxicated persons, how alcohol affects the body and the Liquor Liability Act.

The training will take place from 7:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 30, in the Chisholm Room at Franklin Memorial Hospital.

Frank Lyons, a retired law enforcement officer who has served at local, county and state levels for more than 30 years, will be the presenter. There is a $15 fee per person, and participants are required to bring a current picture ID.

Attendees will receive a certificate approved by the Commissioner of the Maine Department of Public Safety, which is valid for five years.
