FREEPORT — Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park offers nature programs on weekends at 2 p.m. through Nov. 24. Programs start at the circle of benches at the end of the second parking lot unless otherwise noted. Programs last about one hour, weather permitting, and are free with park admission, unless otherwise noted.

No reservations needed except for group use. Nature programs are free with park admission. Admission is $1 for ages 5-11; $3 for Maine residents ages 12-64; $4.50 for nonresidents ages 12-64; $1.50 for nonresidents 65 and older. Children under 5 and Maine residents 65 and older are free. Nov. 2 and 24, Nature Legends: Enjoy this short walk on the White Pines Trail with stops for stories based on Wabanaki legends, for children and adults.

Nov. 10, Hike with the Ranger: Enjoy the best that the park has to offer in this season on a hike with a knowledgeable guide.

Nov. 11, Welcome Tour: Get to know the things that live in the park’s forest and on its shores on this eye-opening tour for children and adults.

Nov. 16, In the Pines: Tour the pine forest and see why Maine is the Pine Tree State.

Nov. 17, Casco Bay Walk: Enjoy views of islands and rocky shores on this one-mile walk along the beautiful Casco Bay trail.

Nov. 23, Stories in Stone: Get to know the story of Maine’s beautiful rockbound coast on this walk for both adults and children.
