BOSTON — Another Boston championship, another duck boat parade.
Mayor Thomas Menino and team officials have announced plans for a celebration on Saturday of the Red Sox’ World Series championship.
Players will climb aboard the amphibious duck boats at Fenway Park at 10 a.m. The so-called “rolling rally” will travel down Boylston Street and will also be on the Charles River for a time.
Officials said they wanted to hold the parade on Saturday so as many fans, including families with children, could attend.
The Red Sox, Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins and New England Patriots have all celebrated previous championships with duck boat parades in the last decade.
