1959 – 2013

LEWISTON — Joseph A. Lewicki Jr., 54, of 7 Bayberry Lane in Lewiston, died suddenly at his home on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

He was born in Cambridge, Mass., on May 28, 1959, the son of Joseph and Lillian Sullivan Lewicki Sr. He was educated in Cambridge schools and married the former Diana M. Demers on Aug. 28, 1987. Joseph was employed by the Lewiston School Department for many years, retiring in 2012 due to an injury.

In his younger years, he was an avid softball player, traveling all over New England for tournaments. He never forgot his Boston roots and was a fan of all the Boston sports teams. An excellent cook, he loved to prepare meals for family and friends.

Survivors include his loving wife of Lewiston; three sons, Joseph III of Portland, Adam of Alexandria, Va., and Matthew of Lewiston; a brother, Daniel Lewicki and wife, Janice, of Somerville, Mass.; three sisters, Patricia White of Stoneham, Mass., Kathleen Richards of Somerville, Mass., and Joanne and husband, William Ryan, of Burlington, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.
