Don Peterson presented the Fridelle “Delle” Peterson Award to Marie Fontaine on Oct. 11. The award was first presented in 2000 to an Androscoggin Head Start and Child Care employee. It is given to a direct service staff personnel who is a dedicated, team player with a positive attitude and puts forth exceptional effort embracing parents’ involvement in their children’s education. It is given annually in Delle’s memory. She was a 16-year veteran of the Androscoggin Head Start and Child Care team, who was dedicated to children and families.
