Change in church service hours
PHILLIPS — Beginning Sunday Nov. 3, the Phillips Community Church will switch to winter hours, and the services will be at 11 a.m. Standard Time.
Renee Wales to speak at church
PARIS — Renee Wales will be the guest speaker at the First Universalist Church, Pine Street, on Sunday, Nov. 3, for the 10 a.m. worship service. Music will be under the direction of Donna Hurd and Sunday school under the direction of Renee Wales.
Coffee, friendship and fellowship will follow the worship service. Childcare is available and the First Universalist Church is wheelchair accessible.
“Music for a Sunday Afternoon” will take place at the church at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17. There will be organ, piano, vocals, recorder, flute and guitar. The concert is free and donations at the door will be accepted.
Evangelist to visit Auburn church
AUBURN — Evangelist Jerry Monday of Acworth, Ga., will be at Marstons Corner Baptist Church, 752 Beech Hill Road, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 7 to 9.
Saturday’s service will include a harvest supper at 5 p.m. All are welcome. For more information, call 783-0407.
LaClaires to perform in concert
LIVERMORE — The LaClaires will appear at the North Livermore Baptist Church at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9. Phil and Ellen LaClaire will perform their annual fall concert of bluegrass and gospel music.
Hyssongs to appear in concert
JAY — The Hyssongs will present a concert of gospel music at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at the Bean’s Corner Baptist Church.
Consisting of Dell and Susan Hyssong and their son Richard, the family group presents a varied program of musical styles, using vocals, instruments and humor. They perform in the United States and other countries and have several albums.
There is no admission charge but a free will offering will be taken. The church is located at the intersection of Routes 156 and 133.
