AUBURN — Janice Lare, the operations supervisor at the Auburn branch of the Community Credit Union, has joined the Auburn Police Activities League board. The board meets monthly.
This organization is important to Lare because she has completed the Advanced Citizens Police Academy in Auburn and Lewiston Citizens Police Academy during the past couple of years. Auburn PAL was established as an effort to transform crime statistics, and to provide positive experiences for area youth.
PAL provides educational and athletic activities for third- through sixth-grade children, both after school and during the summer. The program also fosters positive interaction and relationship building with local police officers.
