ORONO (AP) — The University of Maine football team continues to rise in the national polls.
The Black Bears are now ranked No. 8 nationally in The Sports Network top 25 FCS poll and ninth in the FCS coaches poll.
Maine is coming off a 19-14 victory over Stony Brook on Saturday, improving its record to 8-1 overall and 5-0 in Colonial Athletic Association conference games.
The team this Saturday travels to Albany, which is 1-8 overall and 0-5 in conference games.
