The undefeated Turner Titans 5th/6th grade football team (11-0) defeated the Brunswick Raiders, 31-0, to take home the MCYFL Championship Saturday.
Damien Calder rushed for a 40-yard touchdown on the opening play of the game to put the Titans up 6-0. Wyatt Hathaway ran for a touchdown and threw to Calder on another to give the Titans an 18-0 lead at halftime.
Hathaway rushed for a touchdown in the third quarter and Ryan Thibault closed out the scoring in the fourth with Eli Lind kicking the extra point to put the Titans up 31-0.
Keegan Melanson and Dasean Calder led the Titans in rushing offensively.
Allen Peabody, Camden Jordan,Garrett Mollica and Cole Morin were the leading tacklers on defense. Ben Stone, Everett Varney and Nathan Neumann led a good effort on the defensive line.
