LEWISTON — The Library Public Library will host a program titled “Affordable Care Act 101: Understanding the New Health Care Law,” at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, in Callahan Hall.

ACA navigator Jake Grindle from Western Maine Community Action is the presenter.

The program is free and open to the public.

The presentation will walk participants through the basics of ACA and will explain newly available resources every Mainer should know about in order to fully understand the law. Grindle’s talk will explore the changes now being instituted and will review what it means for those that are currently uninsured.

As a follow-up to Tuesday’s event, WMCA navigators will be available to meet with individuals from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, in the library’s computer lab. Somali-speaking and English-speaking navigators will be available to assist at this time.

In addition, anyone interested in meeting with a certified ACA navigator can set up an appointment to meet with one at the Lewiston or Auburn public library by contacting WMCA at 1-855-806-7333.
