NORWAY — The Board of Selectmen agreed Thursday night to a plan that will allow Norway/Paris Community TV to provide coverage of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School sporting events.
The agreement must be signed by Paris officials and Dick Gleason, owner of WOXO in Norway. It would authorize the use of audio recordings by WOXO with the cable station video for viewing, on a delayed basis.
“Sounds like a good idea,” Selectman Warren Sessions said.
Selectman Bruce Cook, who is on the board of Norway/Paris Community TV, said not everyone agreed with the idea several years ago, but it appears everyone would now like to see it implemented.
Selectman Russ Newcomb said the athletes deserve the recognition.
“I think it’s a great idea,” Town Manager David Holt said. He will sign the agreement, along with Paris Town Manager Amy Bernard, if that town agrees.
