* David John Giasson, 37, of 47 Birch Drive, Oxford, on a charge of sale or use of drug paraphernalia, 5:49 p.m. Wednesday at 37 Highland Ave.

* Ariel Francis Duprey-Purcell, 23, of 37 Highland Ave., on a charge of failure to pay restitution on a theft charge, 5:49 p.m. Wednesday at that address.

Androscoggin County

* Joshua Hovan, 24, of 116 East Main St., South Paris, arrested by Mechanic Falls police on a charge of violating bail, 3:29 a.m. Thursday on Main Street, Poland.

Accidents

* Isaac T. Dean, 17, of Mechanic Falls lost control of the car he was driving, striking a rock and a tree before the vehicle overturned at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday on Butler Hill Road. The 2004 Subaru, owned by Timothy Dean of Mechanic Falls, was towed.

* Richard Potvin, 59, of Auburn, lost control of his SUV and struck a utility pole at 3:19 a.m. Oct. 31 on Washington Street northbound. According to a police report, Potvin may have fallen asleep while driving back from a Red Sox game in Boston. One passenger was examined for a possible injury. Potvin’s 2005 Chevrolet was towed.
