1952 – 2013

LEWISTON — Steven H. Hodgson, 60, of Swett Avenue in Mexico, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Central Maine Medical Center, with his loving family at his side.

He was born in Rumford on Nov. 8, 1952, a son of Henry L. and Elinore (Hinckley) Hodgson. Steve was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School, Class of 1971. He married the love of his life, Kenora Sinclair, on Aug. 7, 1971.

He was employed as an industrial painter for several years, until fate stepped in and allowed him to become a stay-at-home dad, spending quality time with his two daughters.

Steve enjoyed hunting and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also loved spending time at the ocean and having morning coffee with his good friend, Richard.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Kenora L. Hodgson, of Mexico; his stepmother, Elaine Hodgson, of Rumford; daughters, Jill Hodgson and companion, Jeromi Corliss, of Rumford and Kim Casey and husband, Gene, of Rumford; two sisters, Penny Hodgson of Phillips and Jackie Libby and husband, Phil, of Mexico; stepbrothers, Jerry Soubble of Mexico and Michael Soubble and wife, Beth, of Rumford; many nieces and nephews; and special in-laws, Karen, Sandy, Tina, Jackie, Kenny and families, and his loving mother-in-law, Louise Sinclair.

He was predeceased by his parents; two sisters, Sandy Smith and Shirley Hodgson; and a brother, Harry Hodgson.
