LISBON — The Lisbon Planning Board will host a public workshop at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Town Office to collect community input in the development of design standards and guidelines under the Route 196 master plan.

The workshop is geared for residents, businesses and landowners along the Route 196 corridor. However, everyone is encouraged to attend to learn about the potential design standards and guidelines for Route 196 nonresidential properties and how they relate to the master plan.

The design guidelines and standards being considered would apply only to nonresidential properties on Route 196 to help protect property value and investment. The standards are different from property maintenance standards and include guidelines and an ordinance.

For more information, contact the Town Office or 353-3000 or go to www.lisbonme.org and click through the Planning Board link.

Following the workshop, residents should watch for a soon-to-be-released online survey to provide input on potential design guidelines and standards for Lisbon. This survey will be available for all residents, property owners and business owners in town. Owners along Route 196 in particular will be urged to participate.

Paper copies will be made available at several locations in town, which will be announced later.
