The concert will include joyous and mysterious seasonal songs and tunes from Ireland, Scotland and the British Isles as well as more familiar holiday favorites. The lilting sound of Irish flute, Celtic harp, fiddle and guitar will mingle with vibrant songs of revelry and wonder.

Castlebay has performed their Celtic inspired folk music at arts centers, festivals, museums, churches and libraries in the U.S., Canada, the British Isles and Ireland for 25 years. The duo conducts archival research maintaining an exchange with musicians and folklorists worldwide and includes story and myth in their personable presentations. They have provided soundtracks for numerous videos and documentaries and have released 27 recordings.

The Maine Harp Circle is a group of local Celtic harp enthusiasts led by Melanie Lee. The Celtic harp, ancestor of the orchestral harp, is one of the most venerable instruments of the British Isles. It has been used as a vehicle for musical celebration for over a thousand years. Celtic harps were used by the bards and minstrels from at least the fourth century until the early-18th century.
