Deschenes recently completed the sales agent course and is fully licensed to sell real estate in Maine. She is a member of the Western Maine Board of Realtors, Maine Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors.

She has a diverse career background that includes public health, economic development, marketing and graphic design. She is a 1978 University of Maine graduate and is married with three grown children.
