1992 – 2013

BANGOR — Brooke E. Locke, 21, of Auburn, died Monday, Nov. 18, in Bangor.

She was born in Portland on July 21, 1992, a daughter of William and Priscilla (Turner) Locke. She was educated in Minot and Auburn, attending Minot Consolidated School and graduating from Edward Little High School, Class of 2010, where she was on the Yearbook Committee all four years.

She was currently attending Husson University, where she was working toward her degree as an occupational therapist. Brooke was employed in the Hannaford deli department; when she was at school, she worked in Bangor and when she was home for the holidays and vacation, she worked at the Spring Street, Auburn, location.

She was the most kind, loving and happy person you could ever meet. She was very strong-willed and very smart, making dean’s list in college, and was well-liked, having many, many friends. She took great pride in her appearance and her beautiful smile, and will be missed by all.

When Brooke was younger, she enjoyed Girl Scouts and cheerleading. She also enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, going shopping and doing community service. She especially enjoyed working with the elderly; at one point, she worked for Clover Manor. This is why she chose the path to become an occupational therapist, a career she knew she would truly love.

She leaves her mom, Priscilla Locke, of Auburn; her dad, William Locke and his wife, Stacy, of Montana; a brother, William Locke, of Auburn; a half-brother, Ian Locke, of Montana; her maternal grandparents, Nathalie Veilleux and her husband, Lawrence, of Greene and David Turner and his wife, Joyce, of Mechanic Falls; her paternal grandparents, David and Elaine Locke of South Gardiner; and aunts, uncles, cousins, her sorority sisters of Epsilon Tau Epsilon, many friends and co-workers.
