LISBON FALLS — Jacqueline (Chapnick-Johnston) Moczara, 60, of Lisbon Falls, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, Dec. 3, at her home.
She was born on Jan. 7, 1953, in Selden, N.Y., a daughter of the late Morris and Dorothy (Pepper) Chapnick. She grew up in the Selden area and attended local schools there. In 1979, at the age of 26, Jacqueline moved to Maine from New York.
She worked as a mental health technician for Pineland for 15 years. Later, she completed her nursing degree at the University of Maine at Augusta and worked in nursing for several years, enjoying the help and service she was giving people. On June 28, 1998, she married Emil Moczara at the Universalist Church in Auburn.
Jacqueline will always be remembered for her love and passion of spending time with her grandchildren, sewing, art and doodling, collecting dolls and her pets. She was also a devoted New York Yankees fan.
She is survived by her husband, Emil Moczara, of Lisbon Falls; her children, Kieran P. Johnston III and his wife, Jennifer, of Lisbon, Stacia K. St. John and her husband, Jason, of Lisbon Falls and Toby M. Johnston and his wife, Carrie, of Bowdoin; and her stepchildren, Roman Moczara of Canton and Jody and Lori Moczara of Sabattus, and their children. She also leaves behind her siblings, Charles Stuhl and his spouse of North Carolina, David and Patti Stuhl of New York, Marion Shay of New York, Dorothy Chapnick of Florida and Michael Chapnick of New York; as well as her grandchildren, Shaun Dorrington, Mikayla May, Justin St. John, Arayah and Alexander Johnston, Jayme Skelton, Jacob Johnston, Kieran P. Johnston IV and Kiera Dorothy Johnston; as well as many nieces and nephews.
