DEAR SUN SPOTS: You are truly amazing answering all the letters and emails you get. Keep up the great work. I love your column and read it every day.

I have written to you a few times in the past, and you have helped me out, so I’m looking for an answer to another question today.

I’m looking for a show I’m addicted to. “Pretty Little Liars” was on Comcast Tuesday night between 7 and 9 p.m. It’s been on about two-and-a-half years now. It’s about five girlfriends, one was murdered and a person named “A” is tormenting them with phone calls, letters, etc.

The show did have breaks in between shows. The last time I watched it was the September finale.

Now in its time slot is “Ravenswood.” A few actors on this show were on “Pretty Little Liars.” What happened to “PLL?” The story line was ongoing, never had an ending. Please find out what happened for me. — Alice, Bowdoin

ANSWER: According to Wikipedia, “’Pretty Little Liars’ is an American teen drama mystery-thriller television series loosely based on the popular series of novels written by Sara Shepard. The show premiered on June 8, 2010.”

On March 25, 2013, it was announced that “Pretty Little Liars” had been renewed and a new spin-off show called ‘Ravenswood'” would begin airing after the fourth season’s annual Halloween special in October 2013.

According to imdb.com, the summer season finale was on Aug. 27, with the Halloween special on Oct. 22. If you missed the Halloween special, it may be rerun over the holidays, so keep your eye on the schedule for ABC Family.

The second half of season four will premiere on Jan. 7. You only have about a month until then and the show has also been renewed for a fifth season, which should brighten your new year.

As TV viewers have undoubtedly noticed, the traditional programming season, with a fall debut and holiday and summer reruns, no longer applies to all programs. With so many channels to compete against, producers are mixing up their schedules, starting shows all yearlong.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Why is my paper so late these last few days? Here it is 7 a.m. What’s up with that? — Kenneth Briggette Sr. partsman13@roadrunner.com

ANSWER: Sun Spots emailed Circulation Director Mike Theriault, who wrote:

“Unfortunately, we experienced significant delays in our production facility on Friday, Nov. 29, and Saturday, Nov. 30. Both days resulted in two-plus of hours delay to our carriers. We sincerely apologize. Please note it was not the fault of your delivery person.”

Sun Spots was working on Thanksgiving night when the electrical service to some of the presses failed and saw the massive effort Central Maine Power and the Sun Journal press crew put into trying to fix the problem and get the papers out as quickly as possible.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: As a general rule I’ve found most retail service people in the Lewiston-Auburn area to be courteous and helpful. But at the moment I feel called upon to point out the superior service I received recently in the copying department of the Staples office supply store in Lewiston.

Pedro and Aaron both helped me negotiate the viewing, editing and design functions of the equipment without condescension and with real assistance. I learned a few things about the process of photocopying and am pleased with the products that resulted.

Staples is lucky to have them in its employ. Staples is a good store. — Technical Ignoramus, Buckfield
