In early October, Floyd and Schmersal went to the Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer, Mass., where they completed a two-day spirometrey training course. The National Institute of Occupation Safety and Health-approved course covered proper administration and interpretation of pulmonary function or spirometrey testing. As nationally certified and Maine state licensed athletic trainers, Floyd and Schmersal work with numerous area businesses to help ensure that they are providing a safe and healthy work environment.
