LEWISTON — The Room at Trinity will host the Gawler and Boardman families in a program of old and new folk songs, fiddle tunes and dance, with a mostly seasonal theme. A total of eight musicians of two generations, their songs and tunes will be accompanied by fiddles, cello, banjo, guitar, bass and harmonica.

Molly Gawler, currently living and working in Brattleboro, Vermont, will share the dance skills that have brought her to international stages, with the Pilobolus Dance Company in particular, as well as her prowess in singing and fiddling.

The show will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Trinity Church, 287 Bates Street. Opening the festivities will be Jerry DerBergoshian, a longtime resident of the area, active in dance bands and church music and ministry for some 70 years. He will share a brief selection of songs from his Armenian and Turkish heritage.

School-age children will be admitted for free, and a suggested $10 donation toward the artists and the many neighborhood ministries of Trinity Church may be made at the door. For more information, call 207-344-3106.
