LEWISTON — A memorial Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Lauria C. Marineau was celebrated by the Rev. Aaron Dambois Saturday morning at Holy Family Church of the Prince of Peace Parish.

During the Mass, a delegation of staff from Schooner Estates were in attendance at church for a final farewell of the woman they knew as “Memere” while she was a resident at Schooner Estates. Lauria’s grandson, Richard Bernier, proclaimed a New Testament reading. The “Prayer of the Faithful” was recited by Lauria’s great-grandson, Gabriel Walker. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by great-grandsons, David and Gregg Bernier. Words of remembrance were also shared by Lauria’s daughter, Jeannine Dupuis. At the conclusion of Mass, the family formed a receiving line in the back of church to greet friends and family who wished to offer a personal condolences to the immediate family.

Following committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery all in attendance were invited to a reception of fellowship at Marco’s Restaurant in Lewiston. Arrangements by Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home, Lewiston.
