NORWAY — Frederick L. Lipton, 64, of Mechanic Falls, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

He was born in New York City, N.Y., on May 22, 1949, the son of Meyer and Ann Pfeffer Lipton. He enjoyed reading to children at the library and he loved his cat.

He is survived by his sister, Alice Shill; two nephews, Weber Shill and Rustin Shill; and a niece, Laine Shill; as well as his many friends at the Progress Center in Norway and the John F. Murphy Home in Mechanic Falls.
