1944 – 2013

AUBURN — Patricia Marie “Patty” Larochelle, 69, of Rumford and formerly of Jay, passed away on Friday evening, Dec. 13, at the Hospice House.

Patty was born on Jan. 29, 1944, at the family home in Chisholm, a daughter of Harvey R. and Catherine M. (Doiron) Larochelle. She attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic School and in the early 1990s, proudly received a certificate from the Adult Education program.

In 2001, Patty suffered a serious illness and for one year was a resident of Parkview Nursing Care Center in Livermore Falls. She moved from there a year later and was a resident of the Rumford Community Home for 12 years. Her family holds in grateful appreciation the love and quality care Patty received by the staff of both facilities, as well as at the Hospice House in Auburn.

She leaves her loving sister, Sue Litalien and her husband, David, of Mexico; two nieces, Debra Towle and her husband, John, of Dixfield and Darcy Richard and her husband, Jason, of Rumford; two great-nieces, Hillary Dolloff and Brooke Dolloff; one great-nephew, Corbin Arsenault; her uncle, Pat Doiron, of Brunswick; cousins, Paul Doiron of Brunswick and Fern Larochelle of Monmouth; close friends, the Lester and Jill Deane family of Jay; two former nephews-in-law, Gary Dolloff and David Arsenault; and a dear friend, Sally Holt, of Waterford.

She joins her dad, Harvey, who died on July 2, 1969; her mom, Catherine “Kay,” who died April 6, 2013; and an infant brother, Roger.
