FARMINGTON — A Hartford woman was injured when the vehicle she was riding in slid through a stop sign and into a pole on the Knowlton Corner Road Monday afternoon.

Angela Malchisky, 25, complained of neck and back pain and was transported by NorthStar ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital, Farmington police officer Michael Lyman said.

Malchisky was a passenger in a 2001 Buick driven by Terry Andrews, 51, of Rumford. Neither Andrews nor a second passenger, Dale Korhonen, 25, of Rumford were injured.

Andrews was on Lucy Knowles Road heading toward Knowlton Corner Road shortly after 2 p.m., Lyman said. When she came to the stop sign, the car hit ice and snow and slid on to Knowlton Corner Road and hit the pole, he said.

Members of Farmington Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene. The vehicle was towed by Farmington Towing.
