NORWAY — The ninth annual Norway Downtown Halloween Festival was a record breaking success with more than 2,500 children and adults participating. The smiling participants made their way along Main Street trick-or-treating, entering raffles, playing games and enjoying refreshments. Along the journey they met with Smokey The Bear, Cat In The Hat, Sparky, Baxter, Newbie, Samantha The Skunk, Easter Bunny, Subway Man and Oakie.
A record-breaking 55 businesses and organizations participated in the three-hour event.
Among the volunteers who donated their time in various roles were Terry Cram, Jeff Sirois, Emmy Corbett, Ashley Bedell, Kenzie Kahkonen, Concetta Stewart, Maighred Laliberte, Sarah Phinney, Kelssy Macisaac, Morgan Reavis, Rhianon Himes, OHCHS DECA: Madison Owens, Melinda White and Courtney Ladd.
The Norway Halloween Fest was a collaborative effort among Norway Downtown, the Norway Recreation Department, Norway Memorial Library and Main Street Businesses with help and participation of many other individuals and organizations.
