Community Kettle dinner
BRIDGTON —A free Community Kettle dinner will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Bridgton Community Center, 15 Depot St.
No dinner will be held Dec. 26.
The center is also selling ice-out tickets.
Baroque Christmas concert Dec. 21
NORWAY — A Baroque Christmas concert of early music will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Christ Episcopal Church, 35 Paris St.
The concert is presented by the group Music’s Quill. The artists are Timothy Neill Johnson, tenor; Timothy Burris, lute and theorbo; and Erin Chenard, soprano.
Period carols and readings are part of the program.
A reception will follow to meet the artists.
Tickets at the door are $15; students and seniors, $10.
Lewiston Bridge Club winners
LEWISTON —The Lewiston Bridge Club winners of the quarterly club championship at the Lewiston Armory on Dec. 16 were as follows: first, Mary Traton and Luke Merry; second, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; third, Sue Kaluzynski and Rosemarie Goodwin.
Winners of the quarterly club championship on Dec. 17 were: first, Sharron Hinckley and Fred Letourneau; second, Luke Merry and Mike Quinn; third, Nancy Farmer and Rosemarie Goodwin; fourth/fifth tie, Jeanine Kivus and Les Buzzell with Patricia Garcia and David Lock; first in B & C, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe; second in B, Marta Clements and Hazel Glazier.
Games are played every Monday and Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is always guaranteed and all bridge players are welcomed. Call Rosemarie at 754-1431 for more information.
No game will be played on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 24.
