SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Air Force Airman Marielle T. Martin graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Martin is the daughter of Robyn Elston of Windham, and Nicholas Martin of Topsham.

She is a 2011 graduate of Windham High School.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Army Pvt. Jeremy R. Benway has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.

Benway is the son of Wendy and Thomas Benway of Poland.

He is a 2013 graduate of Poland Regional High School.

WAYNESVILLE, Mo. — Army Pvt. Alyssa A. Bragg has graduated from One Station Unit Training at Fort Leonard Wood, which included basic military training and advanced individual training.

During basic military training, the trainee received instruction in drill and ceremony, weapons qualification, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army doctrine, history, principles and traditions.

During AIT, the soldier completed the military police specialist course to acquire skills to provide combat area support, conduct battlefield circulation control, area security, prisoner of war operations, civilian internee operations and law and order operations. The trainee performed as a team member in support of battlefield operations, installation law and order operations and security of Army resources and installations. Additional training included providing peacetime support to the military community through security of resources, crime prevention programs and preservation of law and order.

Bragg is the daughter of Trish Gable of California City, Calif. She is the granddaughter of Joan Bragg of Monmouth, Maine.

She is a 2010 graduate of Mojave High School, Calif.

COLUMBUS, Ga. — Army Pvt. Ethan L. Carver has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.

Carver is the son of Glenn Carver of Dunlap, Tenn., and Lynette Carver of Lewiston, Maine.

He is a 2012 graduate of Mount Juliet High School, Tenn.
