DEAR SUN SPOTS: This year, as in years past, the Telstar chapter of the National Honor Society is sponsoring a Coats and Toys for Kids Drive in the Bethel area. We really need everyone’s help to have success.

Acceptable donations for the coat drive can include used coats and winter wear that is in good condition. We ask that toy donations only be new toys.

Donation boxes will be set up in the Telstar, Crescent Park, Woodstock and Andover school offices as well as various community churches. Both of these events will end on Friday, Dec. 20.

These donations will really brighten someone’s Christmas season, and anyone can come in and donate! — Zachary Wheeler, Albany, wheelerz@sad44.org

ANSWER: Sun Spots hopes it’s not too late to boost your collecting.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Happy holidays to you and yours! Thank you for all you do. I would like to take my family on a sleigh ride this winter. Is there anybody that does this around the Twin Cities? We live in Turner and are not aware of anything like this. Thank you for any information. — No Name via email

Also, the World Greatest Sleigh Ride. which benefits the Pine Tree Society, was held last February. Sun Spots does not know if it will be held again this year. Someone usually writes into the column in January with time and place information.
