LEWISTON — Police continue to investigate a Lisbon Street crash that killed a 39-year-old mother and grandmother Thursday.
Investigators from the Lewiston Police Department and the Maine State Police are still trying to piece together the events that led Amy Ferguson’s sedan to collide with a GMC Yukon driven by Mike Yohe of Lisbon at about 12:45 p.m. Thursday.
As many as two other cars may have been involved in the crash, police Chief Michael Bussiere said Friday.
“There are still a few people to do interviews with and there’s some forensic work,” Bussiere said. “We’re looking to determine whether there are any contributing factors there.”
Police expect to issue a report on the accident in a few days. The District Attorney’s Office also has been brought into the investigation, in case any criminal charges result, Bussiere said.
