RUMFORD — Buoyed by 14 inches of snow this week atop plenty of man-made snow, Black Mountain Ski Resort will open for the season Saturday, Dec. 21.
The resort will also offer three lucky people the chance to make the first tracks of the season, according to a Thursday evening news release. Raffle tickets will be available from 8 to 8:30 a.m. Saturday. At 8:30 a.m., three tickets will be drawn.
“We ask that all participants be dressed and ready to hit the slopes before the winners are announced so the winners can hop right on the lift,” the release said.
“The three winners will also get to cut the lift line and take the first chair to the top when the lift is open to the public, which will be as soon as the First Trackers reach the bottom.”
Raffle ticket prices are one ticket for $1 or six tickets for $5.
