The first USCAA Division II Coaches Poll was released Friday, and both the Central Maine Community College men’s and women’s basketball teams each debuted as the No. 1 team in the country.

The CMCC women’s team is currently 13-1 overall and 9-0 in the YSCC. CM edged out Albany College of Pharmacy, the defending USCAA DII National Champions, by a single vote. The Mustangs are averaging 82.7 points, 23.4 steals, and 23.4 assists per game – all tops in the USCAA.

CM’s men’s basketball team sits at 14-0 overall and 9-0 in the conference. The Mustangs beat out Penn State Beaver by eight votes. CM is averaging 96.2 points, 29.1 assists, and 22.4 steals per game, which all rank No. 1 in the USCAA.
