BYRON — A snowmobiler missing for several hours Saturday morning was found OK at a local camp, Roxbury Selectman Mike Worthley said Saturday night via Facebook.

Worthley said the snowmobiler went riding at 1 a.m. Saturday, and later was reported missing.

Members of the Maine Warden Service set up a command post at Coos Canyon at the Byron Town Office by 9 a.m. while searchers were canvassing trails from Byron to Weld.

According to a Maine State Police dispatcher in Gray, Bruce Farnham, a Mount Blue State Park ranger, searched park trails for the missing man.

Attempts were made by the Sun Journal to get the information from the Maine Warden Service, but it was not forthcoming by late Saturday.
