NEW VINEYARD — An Anson man was injured when his dump truck rolled over on icy Basin Road on Monday morning, Franklin County Deputy Matt Brann said.

Doug Nile, 41, who contracts with the town of New Vineyard for winter maintenance, was driving up a hill while sanding when the truck started to slide backwards. It went off the road and rolled onto the driver’s side, Brann said.

Nile was stuck in the truck for at least 15 minutes before family members could get him out, he said.

Nile complained of stomach pain and was taken by a NorthStar EMS ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, Brann said.

The truck, which was not blocking traffic, would be left on the dirt, dead-end road until it can be removed, he said. The road is located off Route 27.

New Vineyard and Farmington fire departments responded to the accident.
