Androscoggin Pomona to meet
AUBURN — Androscoggin Pomona No. 1 will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Danville Junction Grange No. 65, on Grange Street in Danville.
There will be New Year’s and Legislative program. A 50/50 raffle will be held along with the attendance drawing.
A supper at 6:30 p.m. will cost $5, and will be followed by the 7:30 p.m. meeting.

American Legion meets Jan. 8
LEWISTON — American Legion Post 210 will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at the Armory on Central Avenue.

La Leche League meeting is Jan. 9
AUBURN — Expectant women and breastfeeding mothers are all invited to a La Leche League meeting to be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at 102 Bennett Ave. Babies are always welcome.
This month’s discussion will focus on “The Advantages of Breastfeeding For Mother and Baby.” Pregnancy is an ideal time to begin attending meetings, and mothers find continued attendance provides support throughout their breastfeeding experience.

Bean supper is Jan. 11
LEWISTON — A bean supper will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Cavalier Club Bingo Hall, 855 Lisbon St., behind Staples.
Menu will include cole slaw, cold cuts, bread, dessert and coffee. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
The meal is co-sponsored by the Hurricane Club. The public is invited.

CODA Chorus rehearsals resume
WINTHROP — On Tuesday, Jan. 14, CODA Chorus will begin rehearsals for the spring concert. CODA is under the direction of Joelle Morris, with Rebecca Caron as accompanist.
Rehearsals are held every Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Winthrop United Methodist Church. Come at 6:30 on Jan. 14 to pick up music and to visit with other singers before rehearsal.

LEWISTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing is offering a free integrative medicine workshop for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. “An Integrative Approach to Chronic Pain” will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at the Dempsey Center, 29 Lowell St.
Integrative medicine is an increasingly popular approach to healing that takes the whole patient into account, not just their illness. Join this educational series and discover how integrative medicine benefits cancer patients, its unique approach to healing and how it differs from conventional medicine. Presented by Todd Kitchens, D.O., Family Health Associates.
This is the first of a two-part Integrative Medicine Education Series. The next session, “Treating Depression with Mind-Body Practice,” will take place Feb. 11.
