1939 – 2014

NORWAY — Wanita S. Yeaton, 74, of South Paris, formerly of Mechanic Falls, died Saturday, Jan. 4, at the Norway Center for Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born in New Gloucester on Aug. 10, 1939, the daughter of Alfred and Susie Reynolds Winslow. She graduated from Mechanic Falls High School. Wanita married David Yeaton on Dec. 19, 1959, and had been a homemaker all of her life. She was employed outside the home for several years at Pineland and area shoe shops.

She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafts and sewing. She also enjoyed bird-watching and her flower gardens.

Wanita is survived by her husband, David, of South Paris; daughter, Carol Lovejoy and her husband, Scott, and their daughter, Nicole Lovejoy, and her fiancé, Dennis; daughter, Lori Stetson and her husband, John, and their daughters, Stephanie and Mandy; a son, David and his wife, Heidi, and their son, Cameron; her brother, Michael Winslow and his wife, Sharon; two sisters-in-law, Marlene Roy and Barbara Barton and her husband, Dick; several nieces and nephews; and friends, Donna and Buzz Palmer.

She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Taylor; her parents; three brothers, Alfred, Robert and Charles; and a sister, Sandra Cobb.
