1923 – 2014

LEEDS — Harriet “Ma” Louise (Rose) Page, 90, a resident of Leeds, died Sunday, Jan. 5, at her daughter’s home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Bath on March 2, 1923, the daughter of Ray and Elsie (Johnson) Rose, and was raised by her grandparents, Eugene and Blanche Rose, in Leeds. She attended school in Leeds. On Dec. 27, 1941, in Freeport, she married A. Rochwood “Rocky” Page; he passed away on Nov. 12, 1990.

Harriet was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She baby-sat many children through the years. Harriet also worked at the Leeds Corn Shop and was a 25-year member of the Leeds Grange.

She enjoyed her soap operas, the Red Sox, shopping and spending time with her family.

Harriet is survived by her daughters, Vicky Mason and her husband, Robert, of Turner, Valerie Hartford and her husband, Gerald, of Leeds and Virginia “Ginny” Burgess and husband, Gerald, of Leeds; her son, Steve Page Sr. and his wife, Debbie, of Leeds; grandchildren, Brenda Kirk and husband, Doug, Brad Mason, Todd Hartford and fiancée, Terri Shaw, Tammy Hartford, Troy Hartford, Toby Hartford and his wife, Lenay, Travis Hartford and fiancée, Dannielle Lachapelle, Brian Burgess, Julie Lee and her husband, Scott, Becky Bates, Sheri Poland and her husband, Chris, and Steve Page Jr. and fiancée, Jes Thompson; great-grandchildren, Ashley Henderson, Katie Kirk, Dustin, Katrina, Trevor, Alexander, Trenton, Ryan, Savannah, Alannah and Kensley Hartford, James and Thomas Lee, Brock and Brie-anna Bates, Cody Ferrante and Kamden Poland and Jensen and Novah Leigh Page; great-great-grandchildren, Mason and Wyatt Henderson; sister, Elsie Mailly; brothers, Peter and John Reid, all of Bath; and special friends, Scott, Pam, Cassie and Brody Brown.
