MEXICO — Members of the Stephens High School Class of 1949 will meet for their regular monthly luncheon at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the Covered Wagon.

Youth cancer communication

RUMFORD — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing will offer a free workshop for anyone interested in communicating with youths who have been impacted by cancer. “What do we tell them?” will take place from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Rumford Hospital.

Tookie Bright, LCSW, Youth and Family Services Coordinator, will provide metaphors, analogies and concrete tools to assist adults who would like to learn how to talk about cancer with youths of all ages. A question-and-answer session will follow.
