1921 – 2014

MEREDITH, N.H. — Louise Crowley Maheux, 92, formerly of Champlain Avenue in Lewiston, passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 6, at the Meredith Bay Colony Club.

She was born in Lewiston on June 23, 1921, the daughter of Francis V., and Leda (Dumont) Crowley Sr. She was a 1939 graduate of Lewiston High School and following her education, started her own insurance agency known as Hammond Insurance Agency, working until her retirement in 1995.

Louise’s hobbies included golfing, bowling and playing cards.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Patrick and husband, Blaine, of Bedford, N.H., Constance Dube and husband, Paul, of Reisterstown, Md., and Sally Wyman and husband, Richard, of Laconia, N.H. Also surviving are five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Francis V. and Hank Crowley; one sister, Vivian Houston; as well as her first and second husbands, John Hammond and Maurice Maheux.
